Is that a paradox? In some ways, yes. But anything worthwhile is not easily won. And the author that wrote “Happy people are more concerned with the problems of other people and more likely to take action to help” was correct. I think we instinctively realize we are on this earth to help each other and to help the planet, and when we are unhappy, it is because we are becoming too self-centered and that never satisfies. Just like love, happiness is gained because we give and receive in return.
