Thanks for the chuckle, Belinda! I haven’t seen Newman’s Own Organics coffee in Iowa City, but will ask our grocer for it. (I’ll avoid shipping from their California warehouse that way.) Which flavor was responsible for the near dish-dropping? (Important info!)

Hello BPGL.

It’s been a long time.

I read your posts (almost) every day. I enjoyed this one because it was down to earth. I’ll have to check out their site.

I had to write because I remember an article you did on Nell Newman and Newman’s Own Organics last year sometime. I bought some of their Organic French Roast coffee recently. I love the full bodied coffees, and I really enjoyed it, but tell the truth, when was the last time your husband said “this is really good coffee?”

I almost dropped the dish I was carrying. Really good coffee????? Who are you and what have you done with my husband?

So, I ordered more on-line tonight. Please don’t count up the cost of the Newman Organics payroll and the packaging and shipping. I know it’s a bit more than Folgers… and a bit less than Starbucks. But, it’ is “really good coffee” and that is all I needed to hear.

Keep up the good work.
