Joe Frisk resides in Austin, Minnesota and is an educator and freelance writer, holding a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Minnesota State, Mankato. He is an avid outdoorsman and an advocate for clean waterways.

Joe grew up hunting and fishing along the banks of the Cedar River. He still enjoys fishing along the river and also spends many hours bird watching.

He is an avid cyclist and former bike racer, and he attempts to leave the smallest footprint possible upon the earth.
