We each have to do our own research, Boitumelo. We can't rely on the advertising claims of a company, because they have a vested interest in appearing to be eco-friendly. My own approach is to check out a hotel, tour company, or what have you by calling and asking specific questions about their practices. It may not be practical in every case, but if you are going to take a trip to a developing country, it's especially important to find out who is leading the tour or who owns the hotel. Then check to see if they are certified by a reputable green tourism company. Or ask your travel agent to find out more.
