I’ll let Miriam know that you’ve asked. It sounds logical to me, but I haven’t had the opportunity to use a solar cooker, nor am I familiar with mielie meal. Please let me know if you would like to write about your next trip to Zimbabwe. We’d love to hear about your observations of the environment.

i often visit zimbabwe
i am wondering if solar cooking can also be used for making sadza(or mielie meal)as they call it in zimbabwe :maise with water eating as porridge in the morning and a little thicker in the evening with some vegetables?
