Emmalyn Kayser reads books. Sometimes the books she reads change her life. Something in her clicks, and she decides her life mission is to let others know how important our environment is, and why we should live in harmony with it.

Laughing at herself and others is key to Emmalyn’s happiness because, she believes, without humor, the world would just be a downer.

At times, Emmalyn feels disconnected from her generation (she could not be happier about it), because her hobbies include cooking, sewing, listening to albums (yes, vinyl), gardening, and painting. She loves gardening and hopes to one day live self-sustained on an acreage. She also loves to wear vintage and to collect anything antique.

Originally from Des Moines, this Iowa native keeps close to home, residing in Iowa City. After deciding to make it her mission to save the planet, she also decided it was a good idea to become educated. She is currently a sophomore at the University of Iowa, where she studies Environmental Sciences.

Emmalyn hopes that her passion for the environment will come through in her writing. She could not be more excited to be working with Blue Planet Green Living. She politely asks for any suggested material for articles from those out on the Worldwide Web, and would be happy to hear from readers in response to her articles.
